Bill and Susan Knipe, both originally from NJ, met at Bob Jones University while attending graduate school. They served at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Greenville, SC where Bill participated in the Undershepherds in Training program for two years.
The Knipes began their ministry in Africa in June 2006. Bill taught at Central Africa Baptist College in Kitwe, Zambia and planted Immanuel Baptist Church in Kalulushi, Zambia. In 2012, the Lord led them to Cape Town, South Africa to minister among the Afrikaans-speaking colored people.
They are working in the church plant, Eindhoven Baptiste Kerk in Delft in Western Cape started by Tony and Cathy Payne while the Paynes are on furlough. Bill also teaches at Oostenberg Bybel Instituut where adults from several local churches attend.
They plan to reach out to another area in the city to plant a new church when the Paynes return. The Knipes desire to see more South African believers raised up to pastor and lead their own people. The Knipes are blessed with four children-Jonathan (2004), Anna (2007), Joel (2009), and Matthew (2011).
