Rob and Cyndi count it a privilege to serve with GFA in the Maritime provinces of Canada. They met in 1994 when Rob visited Cyndi's home church on deputation as a single missionary. When they met, Cyndi had recently completed her degree in nursing and was working as a private duty nurse. They were married in June of 1995 and have been serving the Lord together in the Maritimes since 1998. The Lord has blessed them with three daughters, Hannah, Priscilla, and Alyssa.
In October of 1998, they joined missionaries Steve and Brenda Faucette, who were planting a church in Port Hawkesbury on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. They were able to help with many aspects of the ministry, focusing primarily on the youth, music, and children's ministries. Filling in for churches without pastors and for other GFA missionaries who were away on furlough took them to many parts of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
After the Lord moved their coworkers on to a new field of service in Quebec in the spring of 2003, Rob and Cyndi continued on in Port Hawkesbury for several years. In the spring of 2007, the Lord opened the door for them to team up with Tim and Marge Garren, GFA missionaries who have been serving the Lord in Lockeport on Nova Scotia's south shore. While the Moodys were in Lockeport, the leadership of Emmanuel Baptist Bible Institute in Moncton, New Brunswick, approached the about considering full-time ministry at EBBI. In the fall of 2009, the Moodys moved to Moncton. While their ministry has changed, their goal to preach the Gospel and to plant and strengthen Bible-believing churches in Atlantic Canada remains the same.
EBBI is dedicated to training Canadians for ministry. They are praying that the Lord will take their service to Him at EBBI and multiply it to bring glory to Himself throughout the Maritimes and other parts of the world.
