Getting a missionary to the field takes team work. Many logistical issues confront missionaries on deputation and as they transition to and serve on the foreign field. GFA Missions assists missionaries by providing:
The testimony of GFA adds Christian recognition and weight to the missionary's calling. Pastors have greater confidence to invite a missionary to speak when they know he is with a board that will maintain a strong biblical position over the years of the missionary's service.
GFA helps prepare its missionary deputees for effective cross-cultural ministry through its annual Ministry Advance Training Retreat. Individual instruction and the annual GFA Family Conference help them have active and fruitful deputation and on-field ministries.
Counsel & Encouragement
GFA provides its missionaries with solid counsel in matters relating to deputation, furlough, and field ministries. Mission personnel visit the missionaries on the field and hold ministry review sessions with each missionary on furlough to help the mission maintain a clear understanding of the needs and challenges of each field and missionary.
