Bio

Brenda Garren devotedly served the Lord in the Philippines for three decades. In 1980, Brenda crossed the Pacific and landed in the city of Manila. She worked at Gospel Light Baptist Church (GLBC) for 18 years alongside Dennis and Shelia Potts. Once the ladies of GLBC were sufficiently qualified to take over her responsibilities, she travelled south to the island of Mindanao to help a national pastor with church planting in Malaybalay. Here, she assisted in developing a school ministry and served in the church through women’s ministries. In 2006, the Lord called her back to Manila to assist Gary and Edie Jones at Lighthouse Bible Believers Church and Academy. Brenda was actively involved in leading ladies’ Bible studies, teaching career single ladies’ Sunday school, and administrating the Christian school. When she retired in 2010, Brenda had the pleasure of passing the baton of her position at Lighthouse Baptist Church’s school to a young Filipina lady who had completed her graduate work at Bob Jones University.

On October 18, 2022, the Lord called Brenda Garren home to be with Him.
