Bud and Debbie Talbert arrived in Calgary, Alberta, in March 1988 and started Foundation Baptist Church. In 2008, the church called a pastor. Bud and Tim Friesen founded the Western Canada Baptist Fellowship in 1993. In 2010, Foundations Baptist College was started in Edmonton, Alberta, to train men for ministry and prepare lay people to serve in local churches. Bud continues to teach at FBC.
