Our conference theme of consecration touches on the doctrine of sanctification. This beautiful doctrine—which encompasses the believer’s past, present, and future—needs careful biblical nuancing: Is sanctification all of man or all of God? Is sanctification a gradual process, or should I expect radical bursts of growth? Is sanctification automatic, or do I need to put some effort into it? Is sanctification something I can attain with perfection in this life, or should I settle for a certain level of unholiness? In this session, we will chart our way through these issues (and more) and, hopefully, emerge with a scriptural view of sanctification that will encourage us to cry out for and pursue greater personal holiness.
