Balancing Family Life and Ministry

Monday, June 15, 2020 | Guest: Joe and Becky Fant |

What does a church expect of its pastor? When a younger man follows an older man in the pastorate, this may create tension between a pastor and his church. Younger pastors, who are in a different season of life, have a God-ordained responsibility to train their young children. Older pastors whose children are no longer at home are usually more available for ministry. Listen as Marshall and Gretchen Fant discuss this topic with their son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Becky Fant. Joe Fant pastors Community Baptist Church in South Bend, IN, and he and Becky have four children (ages 2, 4, 6, and 8). This episode is for church leaders, church members, pulpit committees as well as pastors.
