Bio

Jim and Suzanne were married in August of 1973. Suzanne helped Jim as he served as youth pastor for North Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan, for 3 ½ years following graduation from Bible college. They then moved to Lima, Ohio, in January of 1978 to serve as pastor of Bluelick Bible Church. Bluelick had gone through a split and splintered, leaving only 13 members. The Neighbors’ lives have been invested in reaching the people of Lima and growing Bluelick Bible Church for 44 ½ years. Over the years the church has grown in many wonderful ways: increased membership, discipleship, and community outreach. The church facility has been enlarged through three building programs. Two gospel outreaches of the church for which Jim and Suzanne are especially thankful for are the Faith Promise missions program that supports over 50 missionaries and Heartland Baptist Church in Marysville, Ohio, that grew out of a burden to reproduce themselves to the glory of God. Jim and Suzanne will tell you that all the blessings are due to God’s amazing grace!

The Neighbors’ family has been blessed with 4 children and 11 grandchildren. They rejoice that their children are seeking to serve the Lord and training their families for Him. Jim’s retirement in 2022 as senior pastor from Bluelick Bible Church has only served to give them a renewed desire to continue serving the Lord through the local church. They believe the interim pastor program would to be a great way to continue serving God’s church.
