Bio
Holly Gilbert was born in Colorado but grew up on a Wyoming ranch that operated primarily as a children's home ministry. She turned to Christ alone for salvation as a freshman in college. Holly graduated from Bob Jones University with degrees in graphic design and counseling and worked as a professional designer for 7 years before assisting a local businessman in establishing a financial advisory firm, where she worked for 12 years. While living in Greenville, South Carolina, Holly served at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in a variety of capacities. She also participated in mission trips to the western United States, New York City, Cameroon, Kenya, and South Africa.
From the time she was a young girl, Holly had a desire to serve on a foreign mission field. In 2015, the Lord granted her the opportunity to serve for three years as a short-term missionary to Cape Town, South Africa, where she worked with GFA missionaries Bill and Sue Knipe and Tony and Cathy Payne. In 2019 she transitioned to career missions and returned to South Africa in 2021.
Holly assists in church planting through evangelism, discipleship, and teaching. She is also involved in medical advocacy, teaching music in a private school, teaching life skills in public schools, planning retreats, participating in a local ladies' art and community outreach group, and working at camp. Holly enjoys sharing with people from all walks of life that Jesus is worthy of their trust, submission, and worship.
