Bio

Joe Nicholson grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Abbie grew up in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. They met while attending Bob Jones University in South Carolina where Joe graduated with a degree in Bible and Abbie graduated with a degree in elementary education.

Joe and Abbie were married in July of 1999. While Joe finished his seminary training, Abbie taught sixth grade at Bob Jones Elementary School.

During an internship at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Greenville, they heard of the need for someone to serve in the ministry in Wales that had been started under Don and Rita Griffith.

Abergele is an old market town in North Wales lying just inland from the coastal town of Pensarn. It is not only a Welsh town but also includes a number of English retirees. The Nicholsons enjoy an even mix of young people and retirees in the church family. Those in the church body are desirous to be part of a ministry that is focused on the Word of God.

Outreach and discipleship ministries include individual Bible studies, fellowship meetings, a monthly ladies' Bible study, coffee mornings, men's meetings, special services, and Christmas Lego videos organized and filmed by the Nicholsons' older children. Joe and Abbie have five children: Daniel, Sarah, John, David, and Mary.
