Bio
Sid and Susie both grew up as missionary kids in Colombia, South America. Sid's family served in the small towns of Colombia while Susie's family ministered to Indians in the jungles. They actually did not meet until both attended Bob Jones University and upon graduation were married that summer in 1993. The Lord has graciously blessed them with four children: Jared, Danielle, Luke and Lydia.
Having always had a love for missions and especially for Spanish people, the Messers surrendered to the Lord's call to go to South America as missionaries in the spring of 2004. Four months later the Lord providentially used an Ecuadorian pastor in Greenville, South Carolina, to direct them to the country of Ecuador.
Once the Messers completed a year of language school in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador, they moved to Manta, a coastal town, in July of 2007 to begin a church planting work. It is the Messer's desire not only to have lost souls come to Christ but that they would in fact become followers of Jesus Christ and therefore glorify God for His mercy.
