Bio

Andrew and Charlene Threlfall serve at Bob Jones Memorial Bible College (BJMBC) in the Philippines, where they are involved in training and discipling the next generation of church planters, evangelists, and pastors for ministry throughout the Philippines and Southeast Asia. BJMBC exists to prepare men and women for faithful gospel ministry. Andrew teaches courses in biblical languages and theology, while Charlene serves through music ministry.

Andrew is the son and grandson of missionaries to South Korea, giving him a lifelong exposure to gospel ministry. He trusted in the Lord Jesus for salvation at a young age. In order to prepare for the Lord’s calling on his life, he studied at Bob Jones University, earning a BA in Humanities, an MA in Bible, and an MDiv. He then served for three years as a single missionary at a Bible college in a restricted-access nation. After marrying Charlene in 2019, they began deputation to return to that ministry. Following a season of support-raising and four additional years of ministry—both remote and in person—the Lord providentially redirected them to serve at BJMBC.

Charlene grew up in Greenville, South Carolina in a Christian home and trusted Christ as her Savior during elementary school. She also attended Bob Jones University, where she earned a BA in Piano Pedagogy and an MA in Piano Pedagogy in preparation for ministry. She then served for six years as music secretary and pianist at The Wilds Christian Camp before she and Andrew married. She continues to use her music abilities to serve at BJMBC and in local churches. Andrew and Charlene have two children.
