Bio
Darrell and Patricia Smith are from Michigan and attended the same church together from early childhood. They married shortly after the completion of Darrell’s three-year tour of duty in the armed services. God has blessed them with two sons, eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
After graduating from Bob Jones University in 1979, the Smiths moved to New Jersey and started a church under BJU’s church-planting program. God raised up good church and Christian school in Mount Laurel, NJ. They returned to Michigan in 2001 after serving 22 years in New Jersey. God worked to build a church in Michigan, and in 2009 God led them to Spring Creek, Nevada, to serve as the senior pastor for four and half years while preparing the way for the present pastor.
In 2013 Darrell and Patricia were accepted into the GFA Interim Pastor Ministry. For the last nine years God has used them to start a church in Eveleth, Minnesota, and to help churches in several other states find pastors to lead the churches forward into the 21st century.
They are thankful for the ministry God has given them and for the personal reward it gives to be able to help churches. Pastor Darrell’s life verses are Romans 12:1-2: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
