Bio
Mike and Christie Yarborough were called to local church ministry and have served the Lord together in full-time ministry since 1980, when they were married during Mike’s seminary training at Bob Jones University Seminary. Mike was ordained to gospel ministry the following year. In 1981 they moved to Schaumburg, IL, where Mike served as an assistant pastor at Bethel Baptist Church, overseeing the bus ministry and outreach. He also taught Bible in Schaumburg Christian School.
In 1986 the Yarboroughs relocated to Raleigh, NC, and planted and established Bethany Hills Baptist Church. In 2011 they moved to Delco, NC, to take the pastorate at Faith Baptist Church. They retired from this ministry in 2023.
Mike also served in a voluntary capacity as the South Regional Director of the South Region of the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship and as Vice-President and Interim Director of Baptist Home Missions, a local church–planting organization.
Following his retirement from Faith Baptist Church, Mike and Christie transitioned to an interim ministry at Victory Baptist Church in Whiteville, NC, where the church called a permanent pastor in 2025.
Both Mike and Christie believe that God has called them to partner with Gospel Fellowship Association in serving the Lord together in interim ministry. The Yarboroughs have two children: Adam, who lives and works in the Delco area, and Ben, who assists Pastor Ron Perry at Faith Baptist Church in Folsom, CA.
