Phil and Mila Kamibayashiyama are mainly training Asians for the ministry. Phil directs Bob Jones Memorial Bible College and teaches courses primarily in practical theology and church history. Mila teaches ladies' Bible classes and has a ministry of counseling ladies in churches and at BJMBC. On Sundays they minister to churches that send students to BJMBC or have BJMBC graduates in their leadership. They also evangelize souls, disciple believers, and encourage the Lord's servants.
Phil is half-Japanese and half-Filipino but was born and raised in Chicago. After graduating from Bob Jones University (D. Pastoral Theology), Phil arrived in the Philippines in 1991. Mila is from the northernmost region of the Philippines and graduated from the University of the Philippines (B.S. Social Work) before also graduating with Bible degrees from BJMBC in 1991 and 2023. They were married in 1993 and have four children and one daughter-in-law: Tim and Alyssa, Joy, Mark, and Paul.
Besides serving at BJMBC, Phil was an interim pastor in Paranaque (1996-97, 2000), a church-planter in Quiapo, Manila (1998-2000), and the senior pastor of Gilarmi Fundamental Baptist Church in Quezon City (2012-2015). He currently pastors Bethel Baptist Church in Makati. Mila has served as a church secretary, ladies Sunday school teacher, ladies Bible study leader, and dorm mother.
